About Me

Hello! I am Maggie Eichhorn. I am a recent graduate from Iowa State University. I have my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and English Language Arts. Becoming a teacher has always been a dream of mine. Some people say it is in my blood because of the ten other teachers in my family. However, my dream to be a teacher did not come from a decision made for me by others it came from the experiences I had growing up. When I was in elementary school I was a very slow learner. Things that came easily to my peers did not come as easily to me. I understand that no child learns the same way. Sometimes it takes explaining it three times before a student really understands the content. No matter the student's weakness they always have strengths that teachers can use and build off of. I can’t wait to inspire and ignite the passion for learning in my future students.
